This webinar will be useful for those involved in access arrangements, particularly access arrangement assessors.
This webinar introduces the newly published Tests of Dyslexia (ToD). This highly anticipated test battery provides a range of measures for each of the access arrangements requiring assessment evidence (extra time, a scribe and a language modifier). Lia describes the content of the relevant ToD tests and composites, evaluates how these can be used to provide EAA assessment evidence and shows how the scores are recorded on Form 8.
As the ToD has recently been approved by SASC for diagnostic SpLD assessments, Lia also provides materials showing how the ToD might fit with the current SASC report format.
The course tutor is Lia Castiglione.
Lia has been teaching and supporting learners of all ages for over 30 years and in varying educational settings. She is a specialist teacher assessor who is highly experienced in all aspects of access arrangements, has held a current Assessment Practising Certificate since 2008 and regularly assesses in schools and colleges. An accomplished educational trainer, Lia is the co-creator of a postgraduate access arrangements assessor course and is the author of the Patoss/JCQ book, ‘Assessing the Need for Access Arrangements’. She works as an independent educational consultant through her company ‘Castiglione Consulting Ltd’.
The webinar is SASC-approved for 1.5 hours CPD. All delegates that watch the full webinar will receive a certificate with the relevant SASC code.

As this webinar was recorded in June 2024, there may be some elements, particularly in the Q&A, that are not up to date for the 24/25 JCQ regulations, however these will only be minor.
