The mentoring is designed for anyone involved in the access arrangements who has questions about, or would like support with, any area of the process, including regulations and procedures, assessment or completion of form 8.
Booking mentoring through this page will give you 90 minutes of our course tutor’s 1:1 time, via email, phone or live conference call. The 90 minutes can be broken up into shorter sessions. Our course tutors will be happy to respond to any queries you may have. They may occasionally refer you to further training or resources if, for example, it is not realistic to give a full answer in the time available.
The course tutor is Caroline Caplan.
Caroline has worked extensively in Further and Higher Education as a disability specialist with particular focus on SpLDs. Her current role is Learning Support Co-ordinator and Specialist SpLD Tutor. Caroline has previously held subject management roles for OCR focusing on curriculum and assessment quality assurance. She assesses and has a quality assurance role for the Postgraduate courses offered by our sister company Include-ed. Caroline holds Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
Once you book the mentoring, you will be given an email address through which you can contact our course tutors. Through this you can arrange the mentoring that will be of most help to you, whether that is via email, phone or live conference call. The 90 minutes can be broken up into shorter sessions. Please remember that our staff are also practitioners who work in school or college, carry out assessments and are often involved in training, so you may not receive an immediate response to your queries. If you would like colleagues within your centre to be involved in a specific discussion this may be possible via Zoom, please discuss with your mentor.
Our course tutors will keep a note of how much time you have remaining, and let you know when the time is used up.
